A Neural Base of Musical Beat Perception/Production in Schizophrenic

We are looking at the differences in brain structure between schizophrenic patients group and healthy control groups, that cause differences in ability to perceive and produce musical beats.

Our goal is to explore the fundamental neural mechanisms of music perception and music production, and eventually, to suggest new possibilities in music therapy for patients of schizophrenia from the viewpoint of neuroscience and music.

Keio University School of Medicine Psychology // Neuroscience Classroom. This is a collaboration with a Multidisciplinary Translational Research Lab.
