I was meet Japanese drum at the age of five in local shrine and start playing the Wadaiko at the age of six.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a background of approximately 300 live performances, I am currently researching Wadaiko at the Fujii Lab. My research scientifically explores how a performer&#8217;s dynamic movements\u2014analyzed using motion capture\u2014influence the audience&#8217;s perception of the sound.From a musical perspective, I am also investigating the unique potential of &#8220;groove&#8221; in Wadaiko.
