Profile
Haruno FUKATSU started violin at the age of three. Record of awards: JACK Award (2nd prize), the 4th Hama-no JACK “Golden Egg” Concerto Soloist Audition, Category under 18; 1st prize, the 1st Yamate-no-Oka Music Competition; 3rd prize, the 20th Burghardt International Music Competition, Strings category; and others. In 2014, she performed a string quartet with members of the NHK Symphony Orchestra. In 2015, she played as a soloist at the 4th Concert of the Baumkuchen Chamber Orchestra. In 2019, she was selected as a soloist for the 29th Ibaraki Master and Singer Concert. She is also actively performing chamber music. In 2017, she joined the Ozawa Seiji Music Academy Opera Project XV “Carmen” and the Children’s Opera “L’enfant et les sortilèges”. In 2020, she won the 1st prize at the 14th Cecilia International Music Competition, Chamber Music Section. She will perform at the “Toho Gakuen School of Music, Chamber Music Concert 2020” as excellent students. Suntory Chamber Music Academy 6th Fellow(Leporem quartet).
Since her childhood, she has been also interested in biology and science. In high school, she started to study on muscle activities important for violin performance. Her study was awarded the Ministry of Education Prize at the 6th Senior High School Bio Summit in Tsuruoka. She studying the exercise physiology (body movements, muscular activities, etc.) in music playing.
