Profile

Takumu Tsuruta

Born in 1998. After graduating from Meiji University, Takumu joined Mitsui & Co., where he led startup investments, partnerships, and business development in the crypto space.
He spearheaded Mitsui’s investment into unicorn startup Animoca Brands, and also initiated a fan engagement project (“oshi-katsu”), collaborating with one of Japan’s largest music festivals, LuckyFes’24, on a joint proof-of-concept.
In 2025, he launched a new venture with Japanese hip-hop artist OZworld, embarking on a mission to reshape the intersection of music and technology.
During his student years, Takumu represented Japan in the Red Bull World Championships, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, interned at major tech companies, and founded his own startup.
He brings a uniquely cross-disciplinary background grounded in challenge, creativity, and cultural curiosity.

DJ Tucky

Based in Tokyo, DJ Tucky is a party organizer and genre-fluid DJ.
He has hosted full-venue private events at 1OAK Tokyo, CÉ LA VI, and OCTAGON Tokyo, and most recently produced a snowy mountaintop DJ experience at Karuizawa Prince Hotel Ski Resort in winter 2024. While studying abroad in France, he discovered and was deeply influenced by reggaeton. Since returning to Japan, he has developed a signature all-mix style, blending EDM, House, and Latin rhythms to move dance floors across genres.

Project

He is exploring how music—especially genres like EDM—can foster emotional responses and interpersonal connection, through empirical experiments and data analysis.

Grounded in the theoretical framework of “Music as a coevolved system for social bonding” (Savage et al., 2021), his current research seeks to understand the psychological and physiological mechanisms behind the social bonding effects of live concerts and music festivals.

His long-term vision is to redefine music festivals as a unique convergence point of science, art, business, and technology—and to one day create the world’s most innovative festival experience.
