Profile

Born in 2004. I was meet Japanese drum at the age of five in local shrine and start playing the Wadaiko at the age of six.

With a background of approximately 300 live performances, I am currently researching Wadaiko at the Fujii Lab. My research scientifically explores how a performer’s dynamic movements—analyzed using motion capture—influence the audience’s perception of the sound. From a musical perspective, I am also investigating the unique potential of “groove” in Wadaiko. Furthermore, I conduct interview surveys with leading performers to examine the current state and future of the Wadaiko community from their practical perspectives.
